These small collage works are part of my reflective process - kind of warm up exercises before going on to larger, more time-intensive works. They investigate the relationship of culturally-loaded figurative imagery to random, spatially ambiguous grounds. I also employ the gazes of the figures as both compositional/ directional devices and as ways of providing psychological interplay with the viewer.
