These mixed-media paintings are from my M.F.A. thesis show, entitled Virgin, Martyr, Mystic and the years that followed soon after. Focusing on narrative elements from the lives of female Christian saints and later from those of feral children, these works employ a variety of painting, collage and assemblage materials, multiple panels or sculptural devices.
